The Oregon Coast Railriders Are Really Fun!

The Oregon Coast Railriders Are Really Fun!

What is Railrider Cycling (formerly known as Oregon Coast Railriders)? Railriders pedal a four seated, pedal powered, rail road bicycle along an "inactive portion of the Port of Tillamook Bay Rail Road."

Grab your group and hop on board. Because you're about to have some fun, Railrider Cycling / Oregon Coast Railriders style!

Basically it's a sort of a group recumbent bike experience with a group of four. One where you can sit back and enjoy the incredible surroundings.

Oregon Coast Railriders owners Kim and Anita Metlen first location was the Joseph Branch Railriders. Seeing the wonderful opportunity on the beautiful Oregon Coast, at the request of Tillamook business people, they first opened Bay City Railriders in 2016. You'll also hear it referred to as the Tillamook Railriders, or Oregon Coast Railriders.

After the success of the Bay City Railriders location, the Metlen's created opened the Wheeler Railriders site in July 0f 2018, then joined all three branches to form Railrider Cycling.

Joseph Branch Railriders, Oregon Coast Railriders, and Bay City Railriders joined to form the business now known as Railrider Cycling.

You'll find their Wheeler site on the west side of Hwy 101 at the north end of the city of Wheeler.

Oregon Coast Railriders route options:

Wheeler Railriders

Join them on the newest Oregon Coast Railrider Wheeler route! The fun begins in Wheeler and parallels the scenic Nehalem River. You'll follow green tunnels of trees, an historic steel bridge, and enjoy the incredibly beautiful Oregon Coast mountain range. Enjoy the Coastal Range like you've never seen it.

Bay City Railriders

The original Oregon Coast Railriders route follows Bay City to Tillamook. You'll travel past the incredible Tillamook Bay, dairy farms and pastures, and more coastal beauty as you pedal along the historic Oregon Coast railway, which also follows the tracks taken by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railway.

Oregon Coast Railriders, now Railrider Cycling, suggests you bring the following on your adventure:
