Join the for Spring Break Fun!  There will be FREE sailor hat decorating, Hidden Object Game with prizes!!  There will be refreshments on the Weekend!  Come have fun rain or shine!  Don't stay bored at home, come visit the gals at the museum!  It does cost $4 for adults and $3 for seniors. Kids 10 years and younger are FREE!

3/27 - 3/31 Spring Whale Watch Week, Manzanita Oregon and 23 other locations 10 am - 1 pm


We love to watch our whales! Whales are visible along Oregon’s shores all year long although some months are better than others.

Whale-watching enthusiasts will head to the Oregon coast beginning next Saturday for Spring Whale Watch Week.

Whale Watching Spoken Here annual volunteers will be at 24 locations spread out on the coast during spring break week, beginning March 23.

Spring watching begins in late March as the grey whales travel north on their way towards Alaska. The first surge swims by around the end of March and we watch the north-bound whales all the way until June.

If you’re in the Manzanita area – the nearby Neahkahnie Mountain Overlooks offer some of the best seats in the house for spotting whales!

Join the Seaside Museum and Historical Society for History and Hops: Weather Disagreeable with George Miller.


History & Hops is a series of local history discussions hosted by the Seaside Museum on the last Thursday of each month at Seaside Brewing Co., 861 Broadway.

The Oregon Ghost Conference is the Northwest’s largest paranormal gathering and convention, attracting visitors from all across the west coast and beyond. You'll find a spooky weekend filled with speakers, courses, tours, parties, and so much more.

Redwood Son's "Westicana" EP is an expression of warmth and an honest connection through Song. Track 2 “Y​ou know You”​ falls lightly into familiar classic country western lyrics, but the feel-good Americana Roots sway begs a curiosity that leaves hearts wanting more.

4/3 Special Local Chefs Dinner - Street 14 Cafe, Astoria, 5:30 - 7:00 pm


Join Street 14 Cafe for their first ever dinner with local chefs Jake Martin and Chris Ross. You may know Jake from his Daphne pop-up dinners in Portland and the Cafe is excited to host a four-course dinner of local ingredients with Jake and Chris. And it's on a weeknight!


Seating is limited with openings every half hour between 5:30 and 7pm.

4/5 - 4/6 Live Music: North Coast Chamber Orchestra and Neah-Kah-Nie High School Choir Concert, Nehalem, Astoria and Cannon Beach


North Coast Chamber Orchestra and Neah-Kah-Nie High School Choir join forces to present two unique concerts. The programs, titled “Spring Voices”, will feature performances by the Neah-Kah-Nie choir alone and alongside the North Coast Chamber Orchestra.


First concert - 7 pm on Friday, April 5th at the NCRD Performing Arts Center, 36155 9th St, Nehalem.


Second concert - 3 pm on Saturday, April 6th at Astoria Elks Lodge Ballroom, 453 11th St. Astoria. 


Admission to the concerts will be: $10 adults, $5 students, and children under 12 (with adult supervision) free. All concerts are very family-friendly.


There will also be an “open rehearsal” Tuesday, April 2nd at the Cannon Beach Community Church, 132 E. Washington, Cannon Beach with no admission charge.

Presented by the Tolovana Arts Community, avid readers meet well known and up and coming writers at Get Lit at the Beach, an annual gathering featuring prominent authors.


Meet best-selling and award-winning authors, often including writers whose works have been developed into movies or television programs. Weekend activities begin with a reception featuring the featured authors on Friday evening. Saturday’s full day of events includes author presentations, book signings and an evening keynote dinner presentation. The weekend concludes with a moderated question and answer discussion featuring all the festival authors on Sunday morning.

If you are fascinated by lichen, join this group for this hands-on hike as hikers feel the textures, admire the colours and discuss the variety of important roles that lichen play here in Tillamook County. Lichens come in many colours, sizes, and forms, and it is estimated that 6% of Earth's land surface is covered by lichen. But this symbiotic relationship of fungi, algae and other organisms is more than just a collage of pretty colours and textures. Find out why!

At MacGregor's, A Whiskey Bar in Manzanita. Join Free Hand, Manzanita while sipping on specialty drinks and learn how to turn rocks into bunnies and decorative eggs. They will be able to make several different kinds to take home with you. They will have special materials to add for ears, tails and little feet as well.

4/13 Puffin Postcards: Our Migratory Local Birds, Cannon Beach, 12 - 2 pm


Join Brianna Ortega, artist, instructor and local HRAP environmental interpreter to celebrate Cannon Beach’s local mascot, the Puffin. Brianna will lead you through an educational drawing class where you will learn first-hand through experiencing the local birds at Haystack Rock, just how you can connect your own life to the Puffins and other migratory sea birds. 


Once inspired, use your creativity to make several postcards using colored pencil perfect for mailing out to special friends or family, celebrating previous places lived that you feel connected to.


This is a kid friendly class for ages 13+ All artistic levels welcome in class, beginner + All materials will be provided for class use.

Don’t miss the first Beaches and Breakers Pickleball Classic Tournament in Seaside! This is a Pickleball doubles, Round Robin Tournament with a shoot out at the end to determine the gold, silver and bronze medals.

Join the many art galleries in Cannon Beach celebrate the new year with the Spring Unveiling Arts Festival. Visitors can attend a reception and meet the artist behind a favorite work. With visiting and local artists providing unveilings of their latest works, demonstrations and presentations in a town known for its vibrant art scene, this festival is a great way for visitors to experience the arts in Cannon Beach.


Art galleries around town pull out all the stops, featuring new works, demonstrations and receptions showcasing their top artists all weekend long. Featured artists often include internationally known talents.

5/17 and 5/19 Songs of the Earth: North Coast Choral Spring Concert, Astoria


Join the North Coast Choral for their Spring Concert "Songs of the Earth".  This unique musical work takes the listener on a journey though time; through the spiritual philosophies of indigenous people from around the world. It is composed of narrative and poetry of many different first nation tribes, all reflecting the Native American belief in the sacredness of the earth and the connections between everything that exists on the earth and in the air that surrounds it.

Accompanying the Choral will be images from local photographer and environmental activist and Janet Bowler on both Native and Traditional Orchestral Flute along with other local musicians on drums and strings. “Songs of the Earth” is an original piece that will be performed for the first time on the North Coast and its surrounding areas by the North Coast Chorale.

This concert is made possible by support from the Oregon Arts Commission.

5/17 - 5/19 Fat Bike Festival, Cannon Beach


Cannon Beach Fat Bike Festival is the first Fat Bike Festival on the Oregon Coast! Come and enjoy a weekend of fun Fat Bike events and explore the beaches & quaint community of Cannon Beach by Fat Bike.


You'll find lots of fun events throughout the weekend including a sunset beach ride and bonfire with Fat Bike games and activities, a Saturday poker ride and after party at local pub. Bring your friends & family and join us for our 2nd Annual Fat Bike experience on the Oregon Coast!

The ARRL Northwestern Division amateur radio operators are holding the annual SEA-PAC Ham Convention at the Seaside Convention Center. You'll find commercial exhibits, a giant flea market, seminars, a banquet and entertainment, all in the fun community of Seaside Oregon.

Join us at the beach! We'll be running in Cannon Beach this summer at Public Coast Brewing Co. and couldn't be happier.

Participants walk, jog, or run approximately 3.1 miles, then drink beer! Everyone is invited to enjoy the day’s entertainment: live music, great food, giveaways and activities with partners and sponsors. Everyone receives a craft brew, and collectors pint glass or seasonal swag item. 10% of our proceeds help support our non-profit partners, the Oregon Brewshed Alliance, Dollar For Portland, and Life Vest Inside. Registration is limited, so sign up today!

We like to keep things relaxed, so this may be different than other “races” you’ve done. We don't keep track of your finish time, and you won’t get a medal when you finish. Instead of closing down the streets, we ensure a safe and fun running route on sidewalks, through parks, and along trails!

Celebrate beloved film, The Goonies, in the town where it was filmed: Astoria, Oregon. Goonies Day occurs every year on June 7.

The 55th Annual Sandcastle Contest 2019 event is the oldest sandcastle contest in the Northwest and the most popular annual event in Cannon Beach.

Soccer in the Sand is a two-day, small-sided, 5 vs 5 beach soccer tournament played in the sand with goalkeepers creating lots of shots and goals!


Every team will be guaranteed 3 games filled with lots of touches on the ball and an environment to try all your latest moves. The entire family is encouraged to come and enjoy the games and the beach.

The Miss Oregon Pageant is preliminary to the Miss America Pageant, empowering Oregon’s young women to achieve their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which to express their opinions, talent, and intelligence.


Miss Oregon’s Outstanding Teen 2018 and Miss Oregon 2018 will be crowned on Sunday, June 30.

7/27 2019 Oregon Corgi Beach Day Fundraiser For OHS, Cannon Beach, 10 - 4

Public · Hosted by Portland Corgi Meetup Group and Oregon Humane Society

Location: Cannon Beach 0n the Beach between 1st St and Ecola Creek

Let’s pack up our gear, picnic lunch and of course our Corgis (Purebred or Mix) and head out to Cannon Beach for the day! Nothing says Summer Fun like a mob of Corgis enjoying the Sun, Sand and the Ocean Breeze, while raising money for a good cause!

100% of our Net Proceeds goes to the Oregon Humane Society. Our goal is to raise funds for the Oregon Humane Society so, we encourage a $10 donation to OHS at sign in.

Sign-in at the OHS tent so we can get an official Corgi and Human count and drop off your donation to Oregon Humane Society! Then shop at the merchandise area to get your Corgi gifts, raffle tickets, and/or bid on the silent action items.
