Don't miss the annual Great Columbia Crossing and experience the Columbia River like never before!
You'll see the mighty Columbia River as you've never seen it before. You'll cross the Astoria-Megler Bridge during this lifetime opportunity to travel across the b ridge by foot. Our Astoria-Megler Bridge is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America, and you'll enjoy the waters of the Columbia River every step of the way.
This 10k is offers incredible scenery on a fairly flat surface with a steep incline to the peak of the bridge. The Great Columbia Crossing is a fundraiser for the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce and gives back to the Astoria Oregon community.
This year the Astoria-Megler Bridge will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. for an even better experience!

Who: The Great Columbia Crossing is capped at 3,500 participants. 2017 had 2,300 participants crossing. The Great Columbia Crossing 10K is great for your entire family, enjoyed by both skilled athletes and those simply looking for some fun. Children ages 8 to 17 register; those younger than 8 are allowed to participate and don't need to register. Minors must always be in the company of an adult.

Where to Stay: Astoria vacation rentals are not plentiful in this most northern Oregon Coast community. You can try searching Airbnb Astoria or VRBO Astoria Oregon. The town is working on streamlining their short term rental regulations.
On the other hand, there are many hotels in Astoria Oregon to choose from. You'll find there are lots of differing Astoria hotels, from the traditional such as the Best Western Astoria Bayfront and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Astoria, the fun, funky Commodore Hotel Astoria - think Ace Hotels - to the more luxurious Cannery Pier Hotel.
