Have you heard of Puplandia Oregon Dog Rescue, a nonprofit organization doing wonderful work? Puplandia needs our help. Follow along and Manzanita Beach Life will tell you all about it.
Manzanita Oregon LOVES dogs. And our Manzanita pet friendly vacation rentals have welcomed many canine vacationers throughout our 22+ years of business!
Manzanita Beach and the northern Oregon Coast are known as very pet friendly, with such local annual events as Manzanita Muttzanita, Firecracker Wiener Nationals in Rockaway Beach, and The Dog Show on the Beach and the Oregon Corgi Beach Day in Cannon Beach
We even have a wonderful selection of pet friendly hotels Oregon Coast style!
How does this relate to Puplandia, an Oregon dog rescue non-profit?
Like the majority of non-profits, Puplandia works with an extremely limited budget, mainly supported by those with a strong sense of needing to help.
Unfortunately, on August 12th Puplandia's Primary vehicle - the Pup Mobile - passed away, or as they put it "has crossed over the rainbow bridge."
The Pup Mobile is the crucial component to get their homeless and neglected dogs to the veterinarian, to training and to their forever homes.
Since 2015 Puplandia has helped 248 cats and dogs find adoptive families.
Looking for numbers? 60% of intake pets are owner surrenders. Of that 60%, 98% are local.
Brook Benson, the driving force of Puplandia, tells us "our adoptions numbers are lower this year because we were able to help more medical cases and took in less litters of cats and dogs."
