Best Oregon Coast Antique Stores - the Manzanita Way!

Where Do You Find Your Treasures?

It's the question I'm often asked by guests, especially after visiting our Historic Reed House. Our house features many vintage and antique pieces scattered amongst the more modern furnishings. There are so many treasures to discover within this original Manzanita Beach house, room after room.

Best Oregon Coast Antique Stores

Our guests often don't know that items within one of our houses are vintage or antique. Can you spot the vintage items in the photo (below) at our Oceanside Modern Cabin?

I love to create eclectic decor. It's something I learned from my parents, who built and decorated our original family Manzanita vacation home.

Back then, most antiques were very inexpensive; it was an economical way to furnish a house. Eventually they came to enjoy combining the old with the new.

Antique stores oregon style are in my genes!

Wonderful designs from other eras often add interest to a room. On the other hand, whimsical castoffs from bygone times can contribute texture and charm to a home.

I've used this technique most obviously in our largest and oldest Manzanita rental, The Historic Reed House. This century old original Manzanita beach house created a perfect setting for unique treasures, both in the actual remodeled structure, the fixtures, and the decor.

So What Are Our Top Picks for Favorite North Coast Antique shops?

Follow along as we look beyond the Made in Oregon stores and the tourist shops for some terrific antique and vintage finds.

Note: During the Oregon Coast Coronavirus outbreak, contact these stores for their special hours and circumstances.

We're going to show you some of the best Oregon Coast shopping for these unique treasures.

Our hands down favorite for vintage and antique finds (photo above). The owners Paul Tuter and Becky Johnson are wizards. Paul creates and imagines and Becky is tops at design. Not only that, they and their shop elves are more helpful that most of us deserve. Are you looking for just the right treasure? Put them on the hunt. Need help or advice? They're the ones to call.

Have you been drooling over the vintage trend adopted by Restoration Hardware and the like? Astoria Vintage Hardware was at the forefront. They've got the originals, and at a fraction of the price.

Most of the fantastic pieces in our Historic Reed House came from Astoria Vintage Hardware. We're forever grateful -- and diehard fans!

Check out their instagram page too. It's chock full of ideas!

Restoration Hardware
Sesame + Lilies Canon Beach

(Photo above). I have a very short list of shops I visit in Cannon Beach, and Sesame + Lilies is one of them. I covet almost everything in their delightful store from antique and vintage pieces, custom furniture, artwork, artisan soaps and lotions, jewelry, objects d'art, rain boots and books, to cashmere everything.

Two floors of lusciousness. Actually, I'm thinking of moving in!

If you appreciate eclectic decor don't miss visiting this shop.

Found Cannon Beach

(Photo above). Another Cannon Beach favorite, Found is a mix of vintage, some antiques, and arts and craftsmanship from coast locals. For instance, we're currently crushing on the glass float light fixtures from local Jim Hannen (his work is also available at Astoria Vintage Hardware).

Be sure to stop by Found. You'll love poking around their store.

Note: Currently closed.

The newest vintage store to our area Warehouse 10 is a welcome find in Rockaway Beach.

As Warehouse 10 themselves like to say, they're the"Magnolia Market" of the northern Oregon Coast. They offer coastal and rustic home decor, lovely locations and soaps, handmade jewelry, and lots more. Modern farmhouse plus coastal chic equals lots of fun.

You'll want to check with Warehouse 10 before you visit - they typically close in the winter when they're off scouting for more wonderful antiques and vintage goodies.

Call for their special hours and events. Or checkout their Facebook page for more fun.

These shops are just a few of my favorites. We're very lucky to have many creative, independent businesses on the north coast.

I hope you've enjoyed my favorite spots for Antiquing on the North Oregon Coast!

Enjoy ~
